Cape Canopy Tour

CAPE CANOPY TOURS

Cape Canopy Tours is situated in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve a mere one hour’s drive from Cape Town. This is a World Heritage Site and conservation area encompassing an area of over 70 000 hectres from Elgin to Villers Dorp. The conservation of over 1300 species of fynbos, some of which are rare and endemic to the area creates a perfect habitat for rich wildlife which includes, antelope, baboons, caracal , leopards and a diverse bird life.

The Rocky Mountains, covered by bright wildflowers and natural pools makes it ideal for trail runs and hikes, kloofing and the Cape Canopy Zipline Adventure.

The entrance to the Reserve is at Nuweberg, which is in the Viljoen’s Pass between Grabouw and Villiersdorp. This is a mix of private and state property around the reserve and co-managed by the Theewaterskloof Conservancy which includes Cape Nature and private landowners. Its mountainous terrain ranges between altitudes of 500 and 1590m.

Lonely Planet a few years back listed Cape Canopy Tours as runner up on the world’s hottest new tourism attractions and at the time being the only attraction in Africa to make the list. They positioned it as “vertigo tinged” fun and “an exciting aerial perspective” We couldn’t agree more!
