Renting a surfboard is a great way to practice what you learnt from your surf instructor during the lessons. We hire out shortboards, minimals and longboards. Rental requirements: - You need to be able to swim. - Rentals will be issued to children age 7 years and older with parents present. - Have had surf lessons before hiring a surfboard. - Bring along driver's licence or ID card. This will be returned to you once a surfboard inspection has been done. The person(s) hiring the surfboard(s) will be held liable for any damages and will need to cover all costs for damaged surfboards. Rentals of surfboards will be weather and sea condition dependent. If we assess that it's not safe to paddle out, you'll be informed via email.

Aquila Private Game Reserve The tour departs at 06h45 from your Cape Town city hotel or lodging and heads east towards the Karoo region. After a comfortable two hour journey you reach Aquila Private Game Reserve. Situated near the historic town of Touws River, in a valley between the Langeberg and the Outeniqua Mountains in the Karoo, the 10,000 hectare conservancy has evolved from its early days of being residence to various antelope species only, to becoming the home of the famous Big 5 – elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard – as well as a significant amount of other wild game, which roam freely on the reserve. A welcome drink will await you on arrival followed by a scrumptious buffet breakfast before starting the game drive at 10h15. You’ll be transported in an open top game viewing vehicle for a 2 to 3 hour long professionally guided tour. After the mini safari you will be treated to a leisurely buffet lunch. It is advisable to bring a bather and take a dip in the beautiful pool overlooking the reserve after lunch. Once you’ve had your swim and lazed around the pool waiting for your lunch to settle in, you will be transported back to Cape Town, through the Hex river valley, the beautiful Du Toitskloof mountains and the 4km long Huguenot tunnel. Once through the tunnel you will see the majestic Table Mountain in the far distance. This is a full day tour and you will only get back to your hotel around 5 o’clock. One of the table mountain classics, this popular route weaves in and around India ravine and venster buttress, with the cables of the cablecar almost always present above. The route allows for spectacular views of each side of the mountain with sections that will get your blood pumping. ​Let us guide you safely through the scrambles and show you the lifestyle of a Capetonian on the mountain. Quick route description India venster is classified as a (b grade) scramble, nothing too hard for anyone to handle with a good head for heights. starting at the lower cable station we'll use a pathway following up under the cables to the contour path. after a short piece on the contour path, we'll head up a series of low rock steps to a platform. next, the route follows up the gully running right to venster buttress. here we have the perfect photo opportunity of the actual venster(window) looking over India ravine. shortly after the window we'll reach the easy scramble sections which our well-trained guides can coach you through if extra encouragement is needed. we will end the route by following around from fountain ledge to the back of table mountain from where we will reach the top.
