"Discover Cape Town's Highlights with our Full-Day (6-8h) Guided Motorcycle Tour! The day begins at 8:30am our RETZA Cafe, where you will enjoy a welcome coffee before receiving your motorbike for the tour and meeting your tour guide for the day. After familiarising yourself with your bike and discussing the route and your points of interest with your guide, your adventure begins! You will start with a beautiful ride through the leafy Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, before arriving in the historical town of Muizenberg with stunning ocean views of False Bay. From there, you will ride along the coast through the charming fishing towns of Fishhoek, St. James and Kalk Bay. You will then pass through Simonstown, a South African Naval town, where you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Penguins at Boulders Beach. After this unique stop, you will continue your ride towards Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Indulge in local South African cuisine during lunch before continuing up the world-famous scenic Chapmans Peak drive, which offers breathtaking views of Hout Bay and is definitely worth a few photos. The day ends with a beautiful cruise along Cape Town's coastline leading you through Camps Bay and the V&A Waterfront back to our our RETZA base in Salt River, where we will leave you with unforgettable memories of South Africa's beauty. Should you have already explored the Cape Peninsula on your own, we are happy to modify the route and offer you a full day experience either in the Franschhoek Wine Region, on the West coast or a multi-mountain pass route.

The hike starts at the lower cable car station and begins with a sharp ascent for the first 30 minutes. Things become more forgiving as the trail winds its way along single track and over small boulders, up the mountain. Soon India Venster hikers will come across the famous ‘Window’ (Venster in Afrikaans); an iconic picture opportunity with a massive boulder hanging threateningly above your head. Two thirds of the way up the mountain, hikers will be met by the famous ‘staples & chains’; this is a short series of climbing aids that will assist you in ascending some steep rock faces. This is not climbing but requires a good head for heights. The route then curves around the side of Table Mountain and opens up beautifully to views of the 12 Apostles and Camps Bay. It is then a relatively short and flat walk to top out on Table Mountain’s summit. Once on the summit, there will be the chance to take an extended break at a semi-secret location and simply absorb all of the amazing surroundings. Having taken any and all desired pictures, you will slowly make your way to the cable car station having ascended one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Kasteelspoort is a classic and beautiful Table Mountain route which should not be missed. It is longer, more forgiving and more scenic than many of the mountains other routes. The ascent is more forgiving than other routes and guides hikers up a massive ravine known as Kasteelspoort (Castle’s Gate) towards the top, but not before passing Breakfast Rock – the site of the old cable car lower station and an amazing place to have, well, breakfast, or a light snack. Once at the top of the initial ascent, hikers will be taken to probably the most famous photography spot on the mountain – the diving board. This is a surfboard like rock that juts out over the abyss one has just hiked up. It is not for the faint-hearted but is well worth it for the picture. From here, Kasteelspoort hikers will then make their way through the Valley of the Red Gods, an undulating 2 hour walk towards the Table Mountain summit. Along the way are amazing sections of flora to look out for. Once on the summit, hikers will be afforded amazing views of the City Bowl, surrounding Oceans and Robben Island and there will be the chance to take an extended break at a semi-secret location and simply absorb all of the amazing surroundings. Having taken any and all desired pictures, you will slowly make your way to the cable car station having ascended one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The Cape Peninsula stretches over 52km’s (32.3mi) and is littered with bustling and breath-taking seaside towns like the famous Camps Bay and Hout Bay. We spend the day exploring the Peninsula making photo stops at every opportunity. Chapmans Peak was built between 1915 and 1922 with the use of convict labour. It offers a 180-degree panoramic view and is a sightseer’s dream. It leads into the small naval town of Simons Town that is home to the Boulders beach penguin colony. After a visit here we make our way to the Cape Point national park for a short walk to the most South Westerly point on the African continent. We make our way back to the city via Scarborough and Misty cliffs that acquired its name because of the constant mist that hangs over the small town for most of the year.
