Renting a surfboard is a great way to practice what you learnt from your surf instructor during the lessons. We hire out shortboards, minimals and longboards. Rental requirements: - You need to be able to swim. - Rentals will be issued to children age 7 years and older with parents present. - Have had surf lessons before hiring a surfboard. - Bring along driver's licence or ID card. This will be returned to you once a surfboard inspection has been done. The person(s) hiring the surfboard(s) will be held liable for any damages and will need to cover all costs for damaged surfboards. Rentals of surfboards will be weather and sea condition dependent. If we assess that it's not safe to paddle out, you'll be informed via email.

One of the table mountain classics, this popular route weaves in and around India ravine and venster buttress, with the cables of the cablecar almost always present above. The route allows for spectacular views of each side of the mountain with sections that will get your blood pumping. ​Let us guide you safely through the scrambles and show you the lifestyle of a Capetonian on the mountain. Quick route description India venster is classified as a (b grade) scramble, nothing too hard for anyone to handle with a good head for heights. starting at the lower cable station we'll use a pathway following up under the cables to the contour path. after a short piece on the contour path, we'll head up a series of low rock steps to a platform. next, the route follows up the gully running right to venster buttress. here we have the perfect photo opportunity of the actual venster(window) looking over India ravine. shortly after the window we'll reach the easy scramble sections which our well-trained guides can coach you through if extra encouragement is needed. we will end the route by following around from fountain ledge to the back of table mountain from where we will reach the top. The hike starts at the lower cable car station and begins with a sharp ascent for the first 30 minutes. Things become more forgiving as the trail winds its way along single track and over small boulders, up the mountain. Soon India Venster hikers will come across the famous ‘Window’ (Venster in Afrikaans); an iconic picture opportunity with a massive boulder hanging threateningly above your head. Two thirds of the way up the mountain, hikers will be met by the famous ‘staples & chains’; this is a short series of climbing aids that will assist you in ascending some steep rock faces. This is not climbing but requires a good head for heights. The route then curves around the side of Table Mountain and opens up beautifully to views of the 12 Apostles and Camps Bay. It is then a relatively short and flat walk to top out on Table Mountain’s summit. Once on the summit, there will be the chance to take an extended break at a semi-secret location and simply absorb all of the amazing surroundings. Having taken any and all desired pictures, you will slowly make your way to the cable car station having ascended one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
