Full Day Cape Peninsula Motorcycle Tour

"Discover Cape Town's Highlights with our Full-Day (6-8h) Guided Motorcycle Tour! The day begins at 8:30am our RETZA Cafe, where you will enjoy a welcome coffee before receiving your motorbike for the tour and meeting your tour guide for the day. After familiarising yourself with your bike and discussing the route and your points of interest with your guide, your adventure begins! You will start with a beautiful ride through the leafy Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, before arriving in the historical town of Muizenberg with stunning ocean views of False Bay. From there, you will ride along the coast through the charming fishing towns of Fishhoek, St. James and Kalk Bay. You will then pass through Simonstown, a South African Naval town, where you will have the opportunity to visit the famous Penguins at Boulders Beach. After this unique stop, you will continue your ride towards Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. Indulge in local South African cuisine during lunch before continuing up the world-famous scenic Chapmans Peak drive, which offers breathtaking views of Hout Bay and is definitely worth a few photos. The day ends with a beautiful cruise along Cape Town's coastline leading you through Camps Bay and the V&A Waterfront back to our our RETZA base in Salt River, where we will leave you with unforgettable memories of South Africa's beauty. Should you have already explored the Cape Peninsula on your own, we are happy to modify the route and offer you a full day experience either in the Franschhoek Wine Region, on the West coast or a multi-mountain pass route.

No Cape Town tour is complete without visiting Cape Point. (30min)   Penguin Colony & Simon's Town  A trip to Boulders Beach you will never forget - one of the only places in the world where you can swim alongside penguins. Boulders Beach has grown rapidly to over 3000 penguins since only two African penguins settled in that had arrived from Dyer Island, close to Gansbaai. Simon's Town is the seat of the SA Navy and has a delightful coastal town atmosphere and a vibrant history. Here you can find a thriving harbour, The South African Navy Museum and The Warrior Toy Museum. See the submarines and frigates from a distance that are docked at the Naval Base harbour. (To see and interact with the penguins there is a small conservation fee of R75 for children and R150 for adults) (20min)   Kalk Bay The quirky seaside village of Kalk Bay runs along the Main Road with the False Bay coastline on one side, and the mountain on the other. Along the Main Road lies a host of veritable treasures, from costume shops to antique shops, cobbled streets, bakeries, vintage bookstores, the famous Brass Bell restaurant and plenty more. Kalk Bay is also excellent for whale watching during whale season (June to November). Muizenberg Muizenberg, a world-renowned surfing spot, where people from all parts of society join together to enjoy the wonders of the ocean. Situated on the beach, you will find an array of the popular colourful beach huts and plenty of restaurants and surf shops. Shark spotters observe carefully for potential danger roaming in the bay.

Cape Peninsula Tour for Photographers

Highlights: You will be collected well before sunrise, in order to get to St. James’s beach; to photograph as the first golden rays illuminates the colourful beach huts. This also offers your personal photocoach to teach you how to photograph and improve your seascape photographs using slow shutter speeds to create motion blur in the waves and add impact to your photographs. We then make our way to Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town, to photograph the African Penguins before the masses and tour busses arrives, and take you to our secret photo spots to get really great photographs of African Penguins. On our Full Day Photo Tour we also visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This offers us the opportunity to photograph Chacma Baboons, Cape Mountain Zebra, Bontebok and Eland, and several bird species including Ostrich and Black Oystercatchers, as well as beautiful landscapes with rich and diverse fynbos vegetation. We also visit the historical lighthouse with its spectacular views and take a “Kodak Moment” at the sign at Cape of Good Hope. We return to Cape Town in the late afternoon via Chapman’s Peak drive, the most scenic drive in Cape Town. For those new to photography and still learning, this is the perfect tour for you as it offers a wide variety of opportunities to learn and sharpen your skills as a photographer.
