Enjoy a half day safari tour in the world-renowned Addo Elephant National Park. Our private game reserve borders the famous Addo Elephant National Park and is where an adventure of a lifetime awaits you. After tea or coffee, we embark on an afternoon safari in our open game drive vehicles. We search for our acclaimed elephants and other wildlife including but not limited to an array of different antelope species. We explore the reserve in search of herds of plains zebra and red hartebeest and if we are lucky may find a hippopotamus or two enjoying a wallow in a muddy pool. The opportunity to spot herds of giraffe meandering on the plains and an inquisitive rhinoceros or two outrivals that of most wildlife safaris throughout Southern Africa. Our lions steal the show with vibrating roars, as the sun disappears over the horizon, which illuminates the sky in bright oranges, the way only the African sun can. We enjoy a traditional South African dinner cooked on open fires in the bush, before embarking on an evening safari to track down our nocturnal animals such as, hyena, porcupine, and aardwolf.

Connect with the rugged beauty of the Baviaanskloof with our experienced guide. This land of raw wilderness with its rocky passes and rugged gorges can only be travelled from east to west or from west to east. Baviaanskloof offers hours of beautiful scenery - veld, indigenous forests, crystal mountain streams, sheer cliffs and waterfalls, and is home to an amazing diversity of plants and species - from yellowwoods to Karoo bossies and fynbos. Buffalo Encounters is certainly a behind the scenes, curtains open excursion that won’t be found around any corner. The excursion is based a section of our 2,500-hectare private game reserve in the Greater Addo region. A maximum of 10 guests are accompanied by a highly experienced FGASA trained, armed trails guide on a 4x4 vehicle through the Buffalo Camp of the Game Reserve. Early morning drives depart our lodge at (07h30) daily after a morning coffee and last between 45 – 60 minutes followed by a scrumptious breakfast at our Eagles Nest Lookout Lounge. Afternoon Buffalo Tours leave camp after High Tea (15H30) and last approximately 45 minutes where-after guests are entertained in the bush for sundowner drinks and snacks before ending the day at Olifantskop Lodge again.

Zipline: Adrenalin Addo’s zip line is the highest, longest and fastest double zip line in South Africa. Twin cables – each 500 metres long – descend from an impressive departure tower perched 70m above Addo’s Sundays River. The departure tower is reached via a short raft ride across the Sundays River and a 10-minute hike through Addo’s indigenous bush. Breath-taking views across Addo’s valley of citrus are the reward from up high before it’s time to get into position, get ready and just let go. A hands free zip line, riders will reach an average speed of about 60 km/h, some exceeding 80 km/h. An automatic breaking system at the end of the zip means you do nothing but enjoy the ride! Giant swing: Adrenalin Addo’s Giant swing is the first of its kind in South Africa and guarantees to swing you to new heights. After being hoisted up 18 metres high, the rest is history as they say. A release into oblivion, the sky your limit, say goodbye to your stomach! Two riders at a time can enjoy the swing and put their nerves to the test.

Join us for a honey tasting at The Venue @ Pabala (requires 48hour prior arrangement). Upon arrival you will receive honey tasting samples, be educated about bees, its importance to nature, farmers and our everyday lives, followed by the actual tasting. After the tasting and education session, you make your way to the local Restaurant for a nice lunch with selected menu choices. We may share a few secrets also. Honey comes in different tones, tastes and textures! Pabala Pure Honey are all naturally raw, harvested, spinned and bottled at Pabala. You will never look at honey the same way.
