Kasteelspoort is a classic and beautiful Table Mountain route which should not be missed. It is longer, more forgiving and more scenic than many of the mountains other routes. The hike starts along the historic Pipetrack, a 150 year old path that is lined with the pipes which historically brought water down from the Table Mountain reservoirs. It winds its way along fairly flat ground for 45 minutes, a nice leg-warmer, before the Kasteelspoort turn-off takes you upwards. The ascent is more forgiving than other routes and guides hikers up a massive ravine known as Kasteelspoort (Castle’s Gate) towards the top, but not before passing Breakfast Rock – the site of the old cable car lower station and an amazing place to have, well, breakfast, or a light snack. Once at the top of the initial ascent, hikers will be taken to probably the most famous photography spot on the mountain – the diving board. This is a surfboard like rock that juts out over the abyss one has just hiked up. It is not for the faint-hearted but is well worth it for the picture. From here, Kasteelspoort hikers will then make their way through the Valley of the Red Gods, an undulating 2 hour walk towards the Table Mountain summit. Along the way are amazing sections of flora to look out for. Once on the summit, hikers will be afforded amazing views of the City Bowl, surrounding Oceans and Robben Island and there will be the chance to take an extended break at a semi-secret location and simply absorb all of the amazing surroundings. Having taken any and all desired pictures, you will slowly make your way to the cable car station having ascended one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Lion’s Head is arguably one of the most awesome Mountains to climb in all of South Africa! It is short and sweet and provides the most accessible and beautiful 360 degree views of Cape Town compared to Table Mountain. We start our hike at our meeting point where your Professional Mountain Guide will give a safety briefing and get everyone pumped and excited. After which we will start our hike up the most climbed Mountain in Africa stopping along the way to marvel at spectacular flora and fauna and to learn about the sprawling historical city below. After an exhilarating 1:30 hour hike up Lion’s Head we will have summited and will be able to enjoy amazing views of The Atlantic Ocean, Table Mountain, Camps Bay and the City Centre. Once everyone has enjoyed the spectacular scenery, views and got some cool pictures, we will descend safely down the mountain having had a lovely adventure! This Photoshoot is for a group of two to three participants (you can add participants with an extra charge at checkout, perfect for families ). You are allowed to do one outfit change. You will receive approximately fifty to seventy edited photos per participants ready within three days after your session and send via an online album! You choose the location in Cape Town (Bo-Kaap,CBD City Center,Signal Hill Mountain, Campsbay Beach, The V&A Waterfront). We are happy to recommend you a location and the best time of the day for the lighting!

To the left will be both the flat plateau of Table Mountain itself and the undulating 12 Apostles showing off along the way. The trail runs parallel to the celebrated pipes that give this route its name and your guide will explain the significance of these to you in detail. The flowers are blooming in abundance at this time of year and there will be the chance to learn all about these and the many animals that inhabit Table Mountain from your expert guide. After 30 minutes of walking there will be the opportunity to relax in a lovely, shaded area as you take in the natural beauty around you. The walk in total will take about 1:30 hours and, once at the end, we’ll end by watching the sunset on a massive, semi-secret rock boulder that overlooks the ocean. From here it is a short trickle down to the road and a quick Uber ride back to your vehicles. Transport is complementary to the first 4 pax booked (subject to availiablity).

This Photoshoot is for one participant. You choose the location in Cape Town you wish (Bo-Kaap,CBD City Center,Signal Hill Mountain, Campsbay Beach, The V&A Waterfront). We are happy to help you to find the best location for your photoshoot! This option is the best if you wish to be alone on the photoshoot with your photographer, have a special query, choose your location and do outfit change :) You are allowed to do one outfit change. We will start the walk from there starting to take pictures of you in beautiful spots of the City with its architecture, perfect for street style photos and finish at The Company’s Garden for some green ambiance shots and Table Mountain background pics!This photoshoot is Great for autumn/winter lighting and For anyone that's is interested in doing something different exploring and creating quality photos memories while having fun with a local photographer like a friend!. We are a team of four photographers and one of us will take portraits,full body, action shots pictures if you and will send you the best ones (between 40 and 50), professionally edited in high resolution. You will receive the edited photos within 3days via a link ready to download. We will also do one photo of you with our Polaroid camera which you will be able to take right away!
