Langa is one of ten areas that were established during the apartheid era designated for Black Africans. The name Langa means ‘sun’ in the Xhosa language, but the name of the township derived from a famous chief who was incarcerated on Robben Island for rebelling against the South African government. During a township tour with your Langa born and bred guide, you’ll experience Langa and meet many people who actively work to make a difference throughout the community. We combine this with a tour of Robben Island where political activist and lawyer Nelson Mandela was sentenced to 27 years imprisonment and served 18 years before the fall of apartheid and introduction of a full, multi-racial democracy. He was later awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and was elected in 1994 as President of South Africa, becoming the country's first ever black president and served one term from 1994–1999

Join us on a single tank dive dive down into this magical and marvellous 3-dimensional ecosystem which harbours an incredible array of life, from the tiny and the intricate to the large playful Cape fur Seals and everything in between. This packages includes a single boat entry. The dive will focus on the Great African Sea Forest, stretching along the Cape Coast all the way through to Namibia, wrecks and artificial reef systems. Kelp is NOT a plant but a giant brown alga, but does photosynthesise like plants and so grows in relatively shallow coastal waters, therefore the majority of kelp diving is in waters no more than 12-15m in depth.

Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3 – 5 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay and then we return to the starting point. The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what The Mother City has to offer. The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside (Benguela) dolphins.
