Please note rates are per side car and not per person. Each side car can accommodate 3 people. Depart the city via the Atlantic Seaboard through the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay & Hout Bay. (Optional stop at Maiden's Cove for photos/toilets). After Hout Bay, head over Chapmans Peak Drive through Noordhoek, Oceanview & Scarborough and on to the Cape of Good Hope. Stop for an hour at Cape Point (toilets) while you visit the lighthouse via the famous funicular. Re-board your sidecar and head out the reserve to Boulders penguin colony via Smitswinkel and the False Bay coastal road. Spend 30 minutes with the penguins and then head out along the coast via Simon's Town, Fish Hoek to Kalk Bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch (optional) in Kalk Bay harbour. After lunch, head over the scenic Boyes Drive above Muizenberg, famous for it's surfing waves, and on to the Constantia Winelands district. Choose a wine estate to experience some wine tasting before heading back to the city.

Highlights: You will be collected well before sunrise, in order to get to St. James’s beach; to photograph as the first golden rays illuminates the colourful beach huts. This also offers your personal photocoach to teach you how to photograph and improve your seascape photographs using slow shutter speeds to create motion blur in the waves and add impact to your photographs. We then make our way to Boulders Beach in Simon’s Town, to photograph the African Penguins before the masses and tour busses arrives, and take you to our secret photo spots to get really great photographs of African Penguins. On our Full Day Photo Tour we also visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. This offers us the opportunity to photograph Chacma Baboons, Cape Mountain Zebra, Bontebok and Eland, and several bird species including Ostrich and Black Oystercatchers, as well as beautiful landscapes with rich and diverse fynbos vegetation. We also visit the historical lighthouse with its spectacular views and take a “Kodak Moment” at the sign at Cape of Good Hope. We return to Cape Town in the late afternoon via Chapman’s Peak drive, the most scenic drive in Cape Town. For those new to photography and still learning, this is the perfect tour for you as it offers a wide variety of opportunities to learn and sharpen your skills as a photographer.

This tour takes the scenic route from Cape Town, along the beautiful Chapman’s Peak to Cape Point, with some awesome stops along the way. We stop at Noordhoek Farm Village for a bit of sightseeing and shopping, then onto Cape Point itself to explore the lighthouse and take a photo at the Cape of Good Hope Sign. When you reach Cape Point you can either walk up to the historic lighthouse or take a 3-minute funicular ride to see the magnificent, panoramic ocean views. Cape Point is situated in a nature reserve within the Table Mountain National Park so be sure to keep a lookout for Chacma baboons, ostrich and antelope along the way. From there we go onto Boulders, just before the historical town of Simon’s Town to see the world famous penguin colony. Afterwards we’ll enjoy a lunch at one of the many local spots before we hit the road to visit the famous Muizenberg beach colourful beach huts for some last photos or even a ice cream at the beach.

The first stop is at Boulders penguin sanctuary to view the African penguins from the seaward side. Next we visit a small Cape Fur seal colony at Partridge Point and onto exploring the cliffs & caves leading up to Cape Point. On fine weather days, there's even a sea cave that we can enter with the boat. We then "round" Cape Point to enjoy the spectacular views, take photos & share an informative commentary. We head back to Simon's Town on an offshore route with the hope of encountering dolphins or whales along the way. The sea-bird life is also quite outstanding!

Apart from offering visitors an exciting and novel method of travel, taking the Flying Dutchman funicular saves visitors an uphill walk from the car park to see the old lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic views. The Flying Dutchman Funicular, also known as the Cape Point Funicular, is a funicular railway located at Cape Point. It is believed to be the only commercial funicular of its type in Africa, and takes its name from the local legend of the Flying Dutchman ghost ship. The line runs from a lower station at the Cape Point car park, up an incline through dense fynbos to the upper lighthouse. The funicular leaves from the lower station every three minutes, comfortably accommodates 40 passengers per car, and can transport 450 persons to the upper lighthouse per hour, making it the ideal way to whisk closer to the lighthouse even during peak times.

Cape Point Tour See Cape Point from a different angle. Get that photo you always see in the National Geographic magazine. Make a pass through Smitswinkel bay and Buffels bay past the Dias crosses and close to the cliffs below the historic lighthouse that leads up to the point. Visit the Roman Rock Lighthouse – the only lighthouse on our coast to have been erected on a single rock. We often see penguins, whales and a whole range of seabirds on trips down to the tip of the peninsula. Seal Snorkeling Jump into the water with the Cape fur Seals and have a blast with the clowns of the sea. On our way back from Cape Point we stop at Partridge Point that is home to a few hundred seals. They are extremely curious and playful and will entertain divers and snorkelers alike. They mostly hang around the surface when they are in the water but will dive down to 25 metres to Scuba divers. The Cape fur Seal activity is available all year and anybody is welcome to join in on this activity.
