The Champagne Cruise is our second last Cruise of the day and returns to Harbour prior to the Sunset Champagne Cruise. These pre-sunset Champagne Cruises are extremely popular as pre-dinner cruises. They are ideal for families who find the regular Sunset Champagne Cruise too late. Due to the fact that the Sunset Champagne Cruise departure times vary according to the season, the pre-sunset Champagne Cruises also have a variable departure time. Please check the schedule to ensure you are aboard before departure time. Toast Table Mountain and the sunset from the deck of a choice of vessels with a complimentary glass of local sparkling wine for adult guests (a glass per adult guest). A cash bar is available for other drink requirements, including soft drinks. Kids are welcome and have special pricing options. Cape Town weather can change five times a day, so our sailing route from the harbour is not always predictable. But no matter which direction we take, be assured of a spectacular cruise that gets you back to the V&A Waterfront in time for evening festivities.

Taking off from the V&A Waterfront, you’ll hover over the harbour for a moment, drinking in Green Point and the Cape Town cityscape. Below you, the deep blues and greens of the Atlantic Ocean stretch to the horizon, interrupted only by the white crest of a wave or the occasional pod of dolphins. As you move further away from the Cape Peninsula, Robben Island comes into view in front of you. You dip towards the island, sweeping over its diverse collection of fauna and flora as you enjoy an aerial view of the buildings and importantly, the prison where Nelson Mandela and other freedom fighters were imprisoned before you turn to face the Cape Peninsula again. On your return flight, you’ll be greeted by the full splendour of Table Mountain as you travel along the pristine Blouberg coastline back towards the City Bowl. VARIATION TO CRUISE (DUE TO WEATHER) For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbour for a Harbour Day Cruise or a Harbour Lights Cruise. This safety feature is a perfect alternative, offering magical views of the harbour, Cape Town and Table Mountain and in the evening the lights of Cape Town and the harbour. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers. * In the unlikely event that the primary boat for this cruise is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to utilize an alternative vessel for this experience.
