Spirit of Victoria The Spirit of Victoria is a traditionally designed 58ft Gaff Rigged Schooner, easily identified in the bay by her red brick brown sails. Built to seat 45 passengers, Spirit of Victoria offers regular sailing trips to Table Bay. The bar aboard offers sparkling wine, beer and cold drinks. Spirit of Victoria offers an authentic, laid-back sailing experience to remember. This sailing trip takes you from the historic Victoria & Alfred Waterfront out to sea on a short cruise across the bay and back. The cruise provides spectacular mountain and city views as well as fantastic photographic opportunities of The Mother City with Table Mountain as a backdrop. They do not offer a specific destination. VARIATION TO CRUISE (DUE TO WEATHER) For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbour for a Harbour Day Cruise or a Harbour Lights Cruise. This safety feature is a perfect alternative, offering magical views of the harbour, Cape Town and Table Mountain and in the evening the lights of Cape Town and the harbour. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers. * In the unlikely event that the primary boat for this cruise is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to utilize an alternative vessel for this experience. After riding on Seapoint’s walk way, our guide will lead you to Greenpoint gardens where there’s a superb vue on the Cape Town Stadium. We visit the Nelson Mandela jetty 1 Museum, where all prisonners were kept before being transferred to Robin Island.
