Depart from our base camp on one of our routes on this amazing Fynsbos farm. The trail is easy to moderate and the guides will ensure you have a memorable experience. The trail starts with a curvy and flat drive but slowly as you get the hang of it the tour starts heading up the mountains and past the Honingklip Dam. The views are some of the best from our trails we offer. The fleet of bikes are new and we also expect our clients to respect our rules such as safe following distance and speed limits at certain points. We will also put you on a short safety drive to ensure your comfortable with the longer trail ahead. Our Honingklip trail is ideally situated on the main road towards Hermanus if you travel from Cape Town. Cameras on this trip are an absolute must!

Gravity Adventure pioneered the Palmiet River and have been running it for over 15 years now. We can truly say that we are ‘the original and the best’ and that newer operators on the river don’t even come close. We are privileged to be a licensed operator on this awesome river. At medium and high water levels we offer thrilling white water rafting in two-person inflatable ‘crocodiles’ or four person rafts and at low levels we offer trips on inflatable ‘gekos’. This innovative inflatable craft was been specially developed for the Palmiet and is now used countrywide. If used in a reclining position, it provides a comfortable way to drift lazily along the pools and channels of the river and if used facing forward, an exciting way of tackling the small rapids. The Palmiet River Experience is suitable for all ages and skill levels – we provide qualified and registered guides with an intimate knowledge of the river and its environment and instruction on how to steer your craft. And since all of the rapids are optional, the trip is even suitable for those who prefer a more relaxed excursion. In the high water months (winter and spring), when we are rafting, we run the longer section, starting in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve. At lower water tubing levels, we complete a shorter section of the river. All boating and safety equipment is provided including PFDs (‘lifejackets’), gloves, paddle jackets and helmets. Wetsuits are also provided. Since this excursion takes place in a sensitive natural environment, group size is limited to 24 people per group day. We can run two rafting groups simultaneously. The trip price includes permits, all equipment, snacks, transport and APA qualified guides. It doesn’t include the CapeNature Conservation fee (currently R40.00 per adult and payable on entry) – if you have a WildCard or are staying in the reserve, you don’t pay this. CapeNature have recently redeveloped their accommodation and of offer state of the art ‘Eco accommodation” in the heart of the Kogelberg. This is an ideal base for a weekend away or a corporate breakaway and we can arrange all catering as well as additional activities such as hiking, abseiling and Mountain biking. Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai with Shark Lady Our vessel is a 12 metre long and 4 metre wide catamaran which we specifically designed for shark cage diving and viewing. The high season starts around mid February with our best months being March through to September. The cage is a floating, drifting cage. Four divers enter the cage at any one time. A fifth person can be accommodated, however, we prefer to allow the diver comfortable space to move freely. Scuba is available on request and is only given to qualified divers. Our tours depart twice daily off-season (May-October), and up to three times daily in-season (November-April). The duration of the trip will be approximately 3,5 hours on sea. Returning transfers from Cape Town and surrounds can be arranged for an additional amount of R650.00 per person What to bring : warm jacket, sun glasses, peaked cap, towel, costume, sun block, comfortable shoes, a change of clothing & cameras (we do stock disposable underwater cameras at reasonable prices). Should you be prone to sea sickness then we recommend that you speak to a pharmacist who can prescribe Sea Sick tablets, which are usually taken 2 hours before the tour. No diving gear necessary except prescription masks if necessary. We are the passionate pioneers in the industry and stand out miles from our competitors. We take out small groups and depart twice daily for your convenience. We offer silver service and UNLIMITED, quality cage dive time. We offer a full educational on the Great White so that you come away learning about this awesome, apex predator. We do not harm or feed the sharks on our tours. How it begins: We collect you from Cape Town or Hermanus and take you on a scenic drive to ‘White Shark Lodge’, our home base in Kleinbaai, to enjoy a delicious continental breakfast and discuss current sightings, indemnities, wetsuits and equipment before heading off to board our custom built 36 ft, 4 tonne white shark dive catamaran – ‘Shark Team’. We limit her to 20 passenger capacity plus 5 crew to ensure your comfort and viewing pleasure throughout your adventure experience. You get to meet one of our intrepid skippers, a qualified paramedic, a Dive Master and our friendly crew and enjoy a short talk on shark anatomy and behaviour. We explain how White Shark Projects works with the sharks in the area and how you will spend the next couple of hours diving and viewing these wondrous predators in their natural habitat. As the day unfolds: You are fully briefed on all procedures and the action begins as our crew ‘chums’ the cruise area and you wait with bated breath for your initial glimpse of the first shark fin. Sharks are usually wary at first and we wait a while for them to settle and then lower the diving cage. Our first guests enter the cage (takes 4 – 5 people) and spend about 20 minutes face to face with the sharks! We will work with individual sharks and you can enjoy topside viewing during your wait as shark activity is often close to the surface. In fact, Great Whites are also known for their ‘spy hopping’ – breaching right out of the water in pursuit of prey! Topside viewing can yield a lot of those action shots !
