We will spend a few minutes in the training arena, getting to know our horses and novice riders will get a quick lesson, learning to stop, go and turn. When everyone is comfortable, we set off onto our nursery farm, where you can expect to see lots of bird species, including Jackal Buzzards, African Spoonbills, and Red Bishops. You may even see some small antelope, like Steenbok. We also have a dam where experienced riders can take their horses for a swim. Then we cross over to our neigbour's farm, where we ride in the vineyards, with amazing views! Our horses are well trained, and not your usual bored trail horses who do the same route every day. Your guide is a local, and very knowledgeable about both the local area, and natural horsemanship. We do not mix different groups, so you will have a guide to yourselves, ensuring that everyone gets the ride they want, be that a gentle meander through the vineyards, or a fast paced canter down a farm track. We use well maintained GP saddles, but if you prefer western tack, that is available too, just ask.

This tour is always a private tour and a very unique way to experience the fantastic Vineyards and sights of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. During the day we will visit 3 to 4 wine estates, depending on your time and pace. With our 4x4 vehicle we will drive off road up into the vineyards to beautiful vantage points over the Franschhoek, Banghoek and Stellenbosch Valleys respectively. Here you will learn about the area, vines in the vineyard and the history of these settlements before going down to the cellars for a tasting. Departure time between 9:00 and 9:30. We collect in Stellenbosch for this tour. Tour will end at approximately 17:00 As this is a private tour, you can decide where you would like to have lunch (own account), in the town of Franschhoek or Stellenbosch, or on one of the many wine estates in the region. Rent a Giant E-Bike 29er Front Suspension Mountain bike for the day. Children's bikes and seats also available. We can deliver bikes in the Stellenbosch area at an additional once off fee of R 350 per drop of location. Includes drop off and collect after bike hire.

This unique E-Bike tour meanders through some of the best wine land scenery in South Africa. We cycle from Stellenbosch to Boschendal via Idas Valey and the Banhoek Conservancy trails. You will have time to enjoy a coffee or snack at Boschendal before our bus takes us back to Stellenbosch. NB. Riders need to have intermediate mountain biking skills to do the tour and a general fitness level is required.
