These private surf lessons can be tailored for beginner surfers who prefer learning outside of a general group environment or intermediate surfers wanting to improve specific skills. This option ensures exclusivity for the individual or group with a coach especially assigned to cater for your individual needs. Participants 6-15 years are required to book a private lesson when booking with us. Private lessons can be booked for 1 person or a group wanting exclusivity. The per person pricing decreases as the number of participants increases. For private lessons of 6 or more persons, group rates apply. If you have previous surfing experience and wish to improve on your skills, kindly inform us at the time of booking so we can update your coach. Our headquarters are located in Camps Bay so that we have easy accessibility to both coastlines of the Peninsula. Lessons take place at the most suitable beach depending on the conditions on the day of your booking. We check the forecast on several reliable sources and combine this information with our local knowledge to decide where we will coach each day. We consider factors such as wind, tides, swell direction and ocean temperatures before making our decision to provide the safest and most enjoyable experience.

Experience an all inclusive 1.5 hour private Flat water SUP lessons which includes a qualified Surf Emporium or Surfing South Africa Level 1 SUP Instructor/s for the full duration of your SUP lesson. Your flat water SUP lesson can be tailored to suit your own skill level and improve at your own pace. Your lessons will follow our structured learning programme to gain the essentials of learning to SUP and equip you with the knowledge to improve on your flat water SUP journey or ride your first wave. Our instructors are here to guide you throughout your SUP journey from flat water to wave riding whilst giving you expert advice to improve your skill level. Your first SUP lesson at Surf Emporium will include safety, ocean awareness and basic surf etiquette. Locations vary and will be confirmed prior to the activity. Join Surf Emporium Muizenberg for a personal surfing lesson tailored to your skill level. All ages are welcome. You can expect a private coach who will teach you the essentials of surfing and provide you with the knowledge to catch your first wave. You will learn about etiquette, safety and awareness of the ocean. Your coach will remain with you for the duration of your lesson. All lessons are 1.5 hours long and can be scheduled at a time convenient for you. You can book an individual private lesson or group private lesson for you and your friends or family. Just select the total number of people you require under number of adults. The price of your lesson reduces per person the more people you bring with you.
