Facilitated by experienced guides, crocodile cage diving is a thrilling close encounter that includes a safety briefing and all diving equipment. This takes place in our new, spacious and engineer approved cage that’s surrounded by water on all sides. 60 cm of the enclosure is above water. Spend around 20 minutes in the crocs’ watery habitat and get to observe how these ambush predators behave in their element. The crocodile cage diving experience is both underwater and at surface level. Capture this once in a lifetime experience on our provided GoPro. This experience is available for ages 9 and up. Finally, for those looking for a thrill, experience being hunted in the dark by Africa’s largest predator: hop into the waters of our crocodile cage while our biggest crocs try to get their own evening snack! Coasteering is a brand new adventure activity that allows you to get up close and personal with the ocean! Pioneered in Wales and Scotland, Gravity is proud to be the first to offer this activity in South Africa. What makes it better is that it is right on our doorstep in Simonstown, close to Boulders Beach. Coasteering bears some resemblance to Canyoning or Kloofing but takes place along a protected coastline rather than in a river course. Each participant is equipped with wetsuit, PFD, helmet, and is accompanied by a guide. The aim is to explore the inter-tidal zone by snorkeling, swimming, and rock jumping. The crystal clear waters and protection from the South Easter make this the perfect location for all skill levels. An added bonus is the abundance of marine life and if you lucky you will come face to face with the African Penguin! Although there are a number of rock jumps up to 8-10m depending on the tide, none of these are compulsory so you won’t be pressured into something you don’t want to do. The minimum group size is 4, max is 16 (but we can do more than one group simultaneously), Group discounts are available. Once you have your dose of adrenalin, visit the Penguins at Boulders beach, head to Simonstown for Lunch, or carry on to Cape Point for a view of False Bay.

Green Route Tubing SUP Combo

RED ROUTE GORGE TUBING also available The trip includes a 20min scenic forest drive from Storms River Village to the drop off and pickup point in the old Storms River Pass. At rivers edge you recieve your tube and we take you for a short upstream paddle to a sandy beach where we sling our tubes over our shoulders and walk a further 200m to the next calm pool. Now we jump onto our Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUP) and paddle approximately 800m further to a 8m optional cliff jump. Don't worry we'll demonstrate first and if your up for it you're welcome to take the leap. Whilst the brave hearts are leaping those that want to take the day a little easier are kept entertained with activities like SUP handstands, tube balancing and swimming. A well earned chocolate bar marks the turn around point at the Jump site and we paddle back to where our tube were left at rivers edge. From here we now take you on a spectacular round route down stream tubing pool hop back to the low water bridge where we started. The Green Route forest experience entails 1.5 fun-filled hours of mild activity in exquisite Tsitsikamma scenery. It is therefore suitable for folks of various fitness level and families with small children 5 years and up. Our access to the Storms River takes you on an exquisite journey though pristine forest. Please note: Tubing experiences vary according to changing river levels and weather conditions. So please call a day in advance for advice. Most (90%) of our trips are conducted on medium-low to low water and the trip entails pool paddling, bouldering and walking, tube jumps, swimming, and optional rock jumps up to 8m in height. (short pour over and shoot rapids are water level dependent)

Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3 – 5 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay and then we return to the starting point. The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what The Mother City has to offer. The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside (Benguela) dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings. Booking is essential and all trips are weather dependent.
