Knysna, a small coastal holiday town situated on the picturesque Garden Route is a favorite among locals and tourist alike. With so much on offer, it is easy to understand why Knysna is one of the most visited towns in South Africa. Home to the Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads, these attractions are part of what makes this town so unique and beautiful. Thousands of visitor’s flock to Knysna to enjoy all that the lagoon has to offer. From romantic cruises to speed boat tours, the Knysna lagoon has it all. The town is also famous for its wild oysters and these can be found in restaurants all over the country. The Knysna forests are another famous attraction and home to incredible hikes and scenery. You have undoubtedly heard of the elusive Knysna Elephant and rumour has it, these gentle giants still roam free through the indigenous forests.

In addition to the already impressive list of experiences, Knysna is now home to Knysna Ziplines. This however is no ordinary zipline, the Kranshoek Zipline, is situated in the Kranshoek Gorge about halfway between Knysna and popular holiday resort town Plettenberg Bay. Also known as The Plettenberg Bay Zipline, due to its proximity to the town, the zipline is an impressive 200 meters above the ground and not for the feint hearted. In addition to the heights, it is one of the longest ziplines available in South Africa. The site was chosen as the views that are on offer, are second to none. Imagine, dramatic coast lines, gorges and indigenous forests and you will start to get the picture.

Welcome to Knysna Ziplines. The most fun you can have. Guaranteed!! Experience some of the longest ziplines around and even some of the highest. The knysna ziplines tour consist of 4 Monster cables between 8 platforms and crisscross the gorge with some reaching 200 meters off the ground. Not for the feint hearted! Situated at the Kranshoek Picnic site, every effort has been taken not to obscure the natural surroundings. Participants are required to register and complete an indemnity for at the office situated at the Harkerville Forest Lodge. Guests have the option to either self-drive to the start or can opt to drive with Knysna Ziplines at a cost of R150 per person. An additional Sanparks entrance fee of R38 per person is payable at the entrance to the Kranshoek picnic site. Once at the start, visitors will be greeted by highly trained guides who will assist with harnessing and will complete the mandatory safety briefing!
