Horse Riding Garden Route:
Make the most of your adventure to the Garden route by taking part in one of our memorable Horse Riding Garden Route activities. The Garden route is an area in the Western Cape province of South Africa and one of the most visited regions. Famous for indigenous forests, lakes, wild rugged coast lines and so much more. It is rumoured that the forests are home to the elusive Knysna Elephant.
Stretching from Mossel bay in the West all the way to Tsitsikamma in the East, the garden route is dotted with small towns such Mossel bay, Wilderness, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay to name a few.
Horse Riding in Knysna is offered by partner Beach Comber Horse Trails. Situated just outside of the popular town of Knysna, home to the Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads, they offers a 90-minute beach horse ride. Beautiful farmlands and uninterrupted stretches of unspoilt beaches are just some of the highlights you can expect.
Plettenberg Bay is situated just 30 minutes outside of Knysna and is a popular seaside town. Home to incredible beaches, Robberg Peninsula and the Keurbooms River to name a few. For Horse riding in Plettenberg Bay, checkout Plett game reserve which is only a short drive away. They offer a 2 hour horse safari, the perfect way in which to see 4 of the big 5 up close and personal in their natural habitat.
For more horse riding in Plettenberg bay and horse riding the Crags we suggest Hog Hollow Horse Trails. Situated in the Crags, close to the award winning Monkey Land, Birds of Eden and Jukani Sanctuary. They pride themselves on rehabilitating rescued horses and offer an array of activities. The Wine farm trail combines horse riding through fynbos, vineyards and farmlands with wine tastings and a delicious picnic. Other firm favourites are the 30 minute or 1 hour horse drawn carriage rides. All carriage rides includes wine tastings and sparkling wine on arrival.
