Once you get to to your starting point in the Cape Point Nature Reserve and after a short safety briefing, you will start riding South to the Cape of Good Hope, a world-renowned landmark, and monuments in honour of two of the world's most famous explorers - Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias. On your way, observe over 250 species of birdlife, baboons, ostriches, bucks and the Cape Mountain Zebra. You will then head to Cape Point where you will get off your bike to get to the light-house, have some leasure time and eventually lunch at the local restaurant (lunch not included). Once you’ve made the most of Cape Point, you will ride your bike back North where you started and get back in the vehicle for the last attraction of the day. In option, visit the penguins in Boulders Beach in the charming coastal town of Simon’s Town. We start the tour in Cape Town central where we show guests how the Dutch and British colonized Cape Town and the influence they have on South Africa. The tour includes visits to the District Six Museum and the Slave Lodge. We showcase why Cape Town is so divers compared to other provinces in South Africa and we showcase the cuisine which is also a very special part of the local community. We also visit Langa for a walking tour of the Township. Langa is the oldest Township in South Africa and guests will be too experience daily life in a township and they will see how the locals live, what they eat and how they earn a living. Departure from your hotel with your guide After a short safety briefing, start riding your e-bike to discover two picturesque vineyards. In the middle of the vines you can enjoy the best views on the beautiful landscapes of the Wineland. Explore hills and small valleys that will lead you to the second wine farm. Ride up to the top of the hill, with minimum effort as the electric bike does all the hard work for you. One of the table mountain classics, this popular route weaves in and around India ravine and venster buttress, with the cables of the cablecar almost always present above. The route allows for spectacular views of each side of the mountain with sections that will get your blood pumping. ​Let us guide you safely through the scrambles and show you the lifestyle of a Capetonian on the mountain. Quick route description India venster is classified as a (b grade) scramble, nothing too hard for anyone to handle with a good head for heights. starting at the lower cable station we'll use a pathway following up under the cables to the contour path. after a short piece on the contour path, we'll head up a series of low rock steps to a platform. next, the route follows up the gully running right to venster buttress. here we have the perfect photo opportunity of the actual venster(window) looking over India ravine. shortly after the window we'll reach the easy scramble sections which our well-trained guides can coach you through if extra encouragement is needed. we will end the route by following around from fountain ledge to the back of table mountain from where we will reach the top. Take a short hike to a lookout point and enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Look out for the Marine Big 5  whale, shark, seal, penguin, and dolphin! Escape the tourist crowds and go for a walk on an off-the-beaten trail. Your guide will lead you to a secluded beach where you can enjoy a refreshing fynbos, gin & tonic and some yummy snacks. For those who fancy a dip in the ocean or natural rockpool, now's your chance! The guide will drop you back at the initial meeting point around lunchtime feeling refreshed and invigorated after a half-day exploring the natural beauty of the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Here there is the option to visit a nearby winery for a wine tasting. Learn about the region's winemaking history and sample some of the best wines in the area. Or enjoy a fantastic lunch at a well renowned local restaurant. Useful tips: Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers, as the weather can be unpredictable.
