Shark Cage Diving Gansbaai with return transfer from Cape Town

Marine Dynamics
Activity Type: Marine & Water Tours Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Shark CAge Diving Gansbaai with return transfer to Cape Town Click HERE for our South African Residents Special All trips are weather and tide dependant and launch times may vary accordingly from those stated. Your launch time will be confirmed the day before. Marine Dynamics enjoys sightings of great whites, copper sharks (bronze whalers) and even the occasional stingray at our vessel. Great White Shark behaviour is less predictable post orca predation in 2017. Daily blog of sightings is available. All content on our website is the property of Marine Dynamics. Unlike bungee jumping or sky diving, the adrenaline rush from shark cage diving comes from being face to face with one of the world’s greatest predators: the Great White Shark. The experience puts you in their territory while the safety of the activity allows you to be an observer and learn what Great White Sharks are really like. An on board marine biologist will educate you about this amazing apex predator. Shark Cage Diving is safe for children and elders and gives the whole family a wonderful opportunity to bond in a fun environment surrounded by experts and researchers. After this once in a life time experience, you’ll find yourself buzzing with excitement and adrenaline. You will have had the opportunity to come up close and personal with one of the oceans most majestic and foreboding creatures. Here is a brief breakdown of what to expect once you arrive: • Before the trip guests meet at THE GREAT WHITE HOUSE in Kleinbaai • You will receive breakfast or lunch and register your wetsuit size • Guests receive a pre-trip safety briefing about what to expect during the trip and a biological background on great white sharks • We then take a 200m stroll down to the harbour to board Slashfin • Travel time to Dyer Island is approximately 20 minutes, with the shallows being a short 10 minute ride (where we anchor depends on where the sharks are) • On average, we anchor for 2 hours, but this depends on shark activity, conditions, as well as number of divers • Weather permitting, we take a quick trip through the infamous Shark Alley • Lastly, a debrief in the Great White House and a celebratory beverage to toast the occasion! Why We Are Different: • A dedicated marine biologist on board every trip • Our Boat (Slashfin) is the largest in the industry (most deck space per customer) and was purposely built for shark cage diving and includes two restrooms, and an upper deck for the ultimate viewing and photography experience when not in the cage. • A fully licensed Restaurant and Crew House, aptly named the GREAT WHITE HOUSE, which includes facilities such as: 2 marine rooms where professional safety and informative briefings are given before each trip + separate ladies/gents/handicap restroom facilities with a 5-star rating + curio shop • We guarantee clean, dry wetsuits (a rarity in the industry) • Our crew receives as many compliments as the Great White Sharks, with more combined experience than any other Shark Cage Diving crew. • You will leave with great memories and a deep appreciation of this majestic animal. .

Sunrise Safari

Waterfront Charters
Activity Type: Boat Cruises Location: V and A Waterfront, Cape Town, Western Cape

Ask any game ranger and they’ll tell you – the best time to see wildlife is early in the morning. This isn’t only true of South Africa’s beautiful inland game reserves, it’s also true of the biggest wildlife park in the world – the ocean. Filled with creatures ranging from magnificent whales – orcas and Southern Rights can be seen – to sprightly penguins, graceful dolphins, languid sunfish and so much more, the Atlantic teems with life: beneath the swells, on the surface and in the air above. Waterfront Charters are offering a special cruise; an early morning Sunrise Safari. Departing the V&A Waterfront at 07h00, you’ll get a full 60 minute adventure aboard one of our amazing RIBs – rigid-hulled inflatable boats; safe and ideal for the purpose - that get you up close and personal to ocean wildlife without intruding. With the Atlantic Ocean sparkling under the early morning sun, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to leisurely observe Nature at its most beautiful.. There is a minimum of four people per trip, but with a capacity of up to 12, we suggest you bring family, friends and like-minded companions to enjoy the experience with you. African wildlife is much more than the Big Five; join us for an exhilarating Ocean Safari under the incredible light of a morning summer sky! * In the unlikely event that the primary boat for this cruise is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to utilize an alternative vessel for this experience. Be assured that Waterfront Charters will always make every possible effort to ensure that the advertised vessel is available. Some Cruises do not have a dedicated boat for the cruise and rely on a pool of available vessels at Waterfront Charters to cover fluctuations in weather, seasonal passenger numbers and planned maintenance.
