Lionshead being its own peak is a popular route for sunrise or sunset hikes. Definitely one of the shortest hikes in the nature reserve offering spectacular views, and giving a full hiking experience. If you have limited time or are just in for a shorter hike Lions head is a great peak to summit. Quick route description THERE ARE A VIEW DIFFERENT WAYS TO START OUR LOINS HEAD HIKE DEPENDING ON WHERE WE WILL FIND PARKING. FROM THE MAIN START WILL HAVE QUICK ELEVATION GAIN UP THE JEEP TRACK UNTIL THE PATHWAY BECOMES A SINGLE TRACK TO THE BACK OF LIONS HEAD. THE FURTHER DOWN START WILL HAVE A MORE GRADUAL SINGLE TRACK, TO BEGIN WITH AND THEN A QUICK AND STEEP INCLINE TO THE MAIN ROUTE. FOLLOWING IN ALMOST A SPIRAL AROUND LIONS HEAD WELL REACH ONE OF TWO OPTIONS AGAIN. THE ON A MORE ADVENTURES CLIMB WITH SOME STAPEL LADDERS ALSO THE QUICKER Way up. an easier alternative is available if heights are not for you. both routes link up again for the final incline to the top of the peak. spectacular views to all sides and a different perspective of table mountain. Difficulty: easy to moderate India Venster Hike Duration: 3.5 up and down Hike Distance: 5,5 kilometers (3,4 miles). Elevation Gain: 669 meters (2,195 feet).

Well supportive closed-toe walking shoes with good grip are a must. Cape town does experience very hot days in the summer and a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water will be needed. A long sleeve button-up shirt with a collar provides great sun coverage.

CANCELLATIONS There will be no refunds in the event of a no-show by guests on the activity date. In the event of an amendment not received 3 days prior to activity booked the guest will still be responsible for the full cost for the total number of passengers originally confirmed.
Management of Cape Mountain Guides PTY (Ltd) reserves the right to cancel any activity due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to, insufficient passengers and/or unfavourable weather conditions. In case of a weather cancellation, weather conditions are judged exclusively by the Management of Cape Mountain Guides.
In the event of a cancellation by Cape Mountain Guides Management, a refund will be given on the amount paid
INDEMNITY All participants are required to sign an indemnity form for all activities they are participating in prior to departure of the activity. If a guest refuses to sign the indemnity form, the guest will not be able to partake in the activity. The indemnity form must be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian for minors under 16 years. Any unaccompanied child 16 or under requires the indemnity to be signed by a parent/legal guardian prior to the activity.
CHILD POLICY: Children Rates apply to minors aged between 4 and 9 years who join trip as a passenger on a Scooter. For minors 10 years and older adult rates apply. Minimum age is 4 years and minimum hight is 95cm Children between 4 and 9 years are passengers with parents and Scootours Passenger Tickets prices apply. Children from the age of 10 years and up can ride their own scooter and Scootours Driver Tickets Prices apply. Adult supervision is required for kids of 12 years and younger.
GENERAL 2 guests are required to run a hike on Table Mountain. Management reserves the right to amend/cancel/add terms & conditions without notice. All terms & conditions are subject to South African Law & Jurisdiction. If Cape Mountain Guides (Pty) ltd does not have access to the venue of the booked service or voucher on the day of the tour then Cape Mountain Guides (Pty) ltd has the right to move the tour to another venue. REFUND POLICY The provision services by Cape Mountain Guides is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Cape Mountain Guides will refund the client in full within 30 days.
