Jonkershoek is Stellenbosch natures gem, tucked away in the mountains it is easy to miss. This is the perfect playground for any nature enthusiast alike. Join us on a hiking adventure at your own comfort level as Jonkershoek has plenty to offer from "easy, not to strenuous" hikes to "this is almost mountaineering" in difficulty. Quick route description The start of the Second waterfall hike sits deep into the Jonkershoek valley. Gradual at the beginning with a well maintained sandy path we will pass the first waterfall visible from far on the approach. With a quick stop and possible swim on the warmer days we will carry on to the second waterfall. Just before we enter the kloof there are a few quick steps up and over before we arrive at the river. From here we follow the river to the origin up the kloof the start of the Eerste Rivier. The route follows the same way back out as in. Difficulty: Easy Jonkershoek Waterfall Hike Duration: 2.5 - 3 hours Hike Distance: About 9.8 km / 6 miles

Well supportive closed-toe walking shoes with good grip are a must. Jonkershoek does experience very hot days in the summer and a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water will be needed. A long sleeve button-up shirt with a collar provides great sun coverage.

CANCELLATIONS There will be no refunds in the event of a no-show by guests on the activity date. In the event of an amendment not received 3 days prior to activity booked the guest will still be responsible for the full cost for the total number of passengers originally confirmed.
Management of Cape Mountain Guides PTY (Ltd) reserves the right to cancel any activity due to unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to, insufficient passengers and/or unfavourable weather conditions. In case of a weather cancellation, weather conditions are judged exclusively by the Management of Cape Mountain Guides.
In the event of a cancellation by Cape Mountain Guides Management, a refund will be given on the amount paid
INDEMNITY All participants are required to sign an indemnity form for all activities they are participating in prior to departure of the activity. If a guest refuses to sign the indemnity form, the guest will not be able to partake in the activity. The indemnity form must be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian for minors under 16 years. Any unaccompanied child 16 or under requires the indemnity to be signed by a parent/legal guardian prior to the activity.
CHILD POLICY: Children Rates apply to minors aged between 4 and 9 years who join trip as a passenger on a Scooter. For minors 10 years and older adult rates apply. Minimum age is 4 years and minimum hight is 95cm Children between 4 and 9 years are passengers with parents and Scootours Passenger Tickets prices apply. Children from the age of 10 years and up can ride their own scooter and Scootours Driver Tickets Prices apply. Adult supervision is required for kids of 12 years and younger.
GENERAL 2 guests are required to run a hike on Table Mountain. Management reserves the right to amend/cancel/add terms & conditions without notice. All terms & conditions are subject to South African Law & Jurisdiction. If Cape Mountain Guides (Pty) ltd does not have access to the venue of the booked service or voucher on the day of the tour then Cape Mountain Guides (Pty) ltd has the right to move the tour to another venue. REFUND POLICY The provision services by Cape Mountain Guides is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Cape Mountain Guides will refund the client in full within 30 days.
CANCELLATION POLICY 30 days cancellation before arrival 100% refund - less 3.6% in the case of online credit card transactions. 29 - 15 days cancellation before arrival 75% refund - less 3.6% in the case of online credit card transactions. 14 – 4 days cancellation before arrival 50% refund - less 3.6% in the case of online credit card transactions. 3 days-24 hrs cancellation before arrival 0% refund
