The Cape Winelands Experience. This one-day tour in the Western Cape offers a spectacular driving experience in our custom-built Safari Porsche 911 vehicles on some of the most scenic routes in South Africa.
Due to the current road closures of Franschhoek Pass, the normal signtaure tour is not available. The itinerary has been adapted as follows:
Departing from African Motorsport Safaris’ premises in Montague Gardens, Cape Town, we head to the seaside town of Gordon’s Bay where we continue with the R44 to Rooiels – a stunning 23-kilometer drive along the ocean. A short while later we stop for delicious coffee and croissants in the holiday village of Betty’s Bay.
The tour then moves onto the N2 in the direction of Sir Lowreys Pass, offering sweeping views over False Bay.
Next is the R44 and Helshoogte Pass
Lastly, is the N1, back to Montague GArdens.
Along the way, we will stop for numerous photo opportunities as well as a 5 star lunch at one of the Cape Winelands many world class restaurants.

- A tour guide driving a fully equipped Porsche Cayenne support/lead vehicle
- In-car Wi-Fi In-car navigation, two-way radios, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto sound system
- A pre-loaded selection of a wide range of music.
- A welcome pack with snacks, soft drinks and bottled water Alcohol free sparkling wine Lunch and a glass of wine All coffee, tea etc.
Exclusions
- Traffic Fines Transfers to and from the AMS premises Insurance Excesses (if applicable) Excess waiver (Euro 200)
- Transfers to the AMS premises in Montague Gardens Staff gratuities at your own discretion
No drivers under 21 permitted.
Drivers require a valid drivers lisence
Cancellations within 30 days will incur the full amount
Arrival time at AMS premises: 08:30 Departure time from AMS premises: 09:00 Approximately 275 kilometers Arrival time at AMS premises after conclusion of tour: +- 16:00 Please note that certain mountain passes and roads are closed by authorities on short notice due to safety reasons, in which instance the route will be adjusted at the sole discretion of AMS All vehicles have a MANUAL TRANSMISSION
