Addo Elephant National Park, the third-largest national park in South Africa, has expanded to conserve a wide range of biodiversity, landscapes, fauna and flora. The Full Day Addo Park Safari Tour is a very popular safari option and guests enjoy the whole of the Addo Elephant National Park at a leisurely pace, whilst searching for perfect Big 5 photograph opportunities. The tour includes a traditional South African Braai (BBQ) lunch, accompanied by local Beers, red & white wines and cooldrinks. The Addo Elephant National Park is home to more than 600 elephants and a large number of other indigenous animals including the endangered black rhino, as well as the unique Addo flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo. HIGHLIGHTS See Africa’s “Big 5” Animals in their natural environment. Visit the 3rd largest national park in South Africa. Look for lions, hyena, antelopes, zebras and the endangered black rhinos. Visit a malaria-free park, home to over 600 elephants.

Going on Safari has always been an exciting, active adventure. For this reason any guest traveling with African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd to any of its destinations or on any of its excursions, be it the Addo Elephant National Park or any other of the surrounding Private Game Reserves, the guests do so entirely at their own risk. By acceptance and payment of any Safari or Tour offered by African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd and its staff, guests accept the Terms and Conditions in full. Any persons travelling with African Sightings Adventure takes full responsibility and acknowledgement that African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd trading as African Sightings Adventure cannot be held liable for any loss, damages, circumstance or situation that is beyond our control that may negatively influence or affect the quality of your, guided tour, safari experience, travel arrangements and transfers. Examples of this may be extreme or adverse weather conditions, road closures in the park as well as the surrounding communities, disruptive and unprofessional behavior from outside guests or patrons, uncontrollable and unforeseen changes imposed by Government, South African National Parks, in this case the Addo Elephant National Park and associated Private Reserves and Private Concessions. This also includes international travel changes imposed by and on the Republic of South Africa due to reasons of force majeure, global unrest and both local and international pandemics. All African Sightings Adventure (Pty) rates are quoted on a per person basis unless individually specific. A minimum of 2 clients unless a solo tour is booked and rate accepted. It is compulsory to sign both the African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd and Addo Elephant National Park indemnity forms when entering the Park. We reserve the right to change the guide at the last minute. This would only be done under exceptional circumstances but will ensure that a suitable like for like guide will be replaced. Whilst the Addo Elephant National Park and the surrounding Private Game reserves are Big 5 destinations we cannot guarantee and game sightings. TRAVEL INSURANCE *We strongly advise all guests to take out the appropriate travel insurance to cover both their travel itineraries as well as personal items whilst travelling and on safari. We recommend our guests bring with them photographic gear to see and capture those unforgettable wildlife sightings but sadly we cannot be held liable for and damage or loss caused to any personal items particularly photographic equipment. This also includes any personal luggage held whilst on Safari. Should any of our guests personal items be left in the vehicle we will endeavor to have it returned however the owner will be liable for any costs incurred. BOOKING CONFIRMATIONS Please note that a booking is only considered 100% confirmed once payment is made in full, for the individual or safari, tour group and has been acknowledged by African Sightings Adventure (Pty) , or online activity booking website, Activitar or online payment system, PayGenous. BOOKING PAYMENT METHODS Via Activitar online booking portal using PayGenous payment system. Alternatively, for direct bookings we do accept cash, Visa and MasterCard on site. For on-site payment resources we use Yoco Card Machines or provide Yoco Online Payment Links before activity date. **We do not accept Diners Club and American Express Cards.** Booking is essential. Other payment methods available for guests use are: Payment made via Electronic Funds Transfer Option: Guests will be provided with an invoice for deposits or full payment requirement. This will include local banking details. Payment to be paid in ZAR Rands (local South African currency). Invoice number and guest booking name to be used as reference. Once payment is made a confirmation email will be provided with a fully paid invoice. All banking charges to be incurred by client. Secure Credit Card Payment Link Option: Guests will be provided with an email that contains an invoice for deposit or full payment requirement. The email will also include a secured credit card payment link that will indicate the following: Payment amount indicated in ZAR Rands ( local South African currency). Booking details with clients name and payment reference number will be indicated on link. Once payment is made a confirmation email will be provided with invoice to client. All banking charges to be incurred by client. For all credit card payments done on Online Activity Booking Website, African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd utilizes PayGenous (Pty) Ltd which is administered by Activitar (Pty) Ltd, a global activity booking platform and is an approved payment gateway supported by First National Bank South Africa. Activitar and PayGenous provides guests peace of mind with the required industry standards of encryption, Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no personal credit card details will be stored or cached against the link or on our African Sightings Adventure website and payment gateway. PAYMENT OPTIONS For all secure credit card payment links provided, payments are accepted by MasterCard and Visa credit card holders.  Electronic Fund Transfers are accepted directly into our African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd bank account, guests to provide invoice and name as reference as well as forward a proof of payment to the booking confirmation email received from African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd. We do also accept cash on the day of safari for direct bookings. CANCELLATION POLICY: DAY SAFARIS We require full 100% payment prior to going on a guided Safari. No cancellation fees will be applied if a booking is cancelled and moved to another date within 12 months. If park entrance fees have been included into a booking payment, and the booking is moved forward by 12 months, then the SANParks entrance fee portion may be subject to a 5 - 10% increase as imposed by SANParks annual entrance fee increases. The African Sightings Adventure rate remains the same. Bookings that are cancelled after being paid in full and a final confirmation of booking is provided to client will be subject to the following cancellation policy: • 4 weeks prior to booked and confirmed activities – 15% of the full amount. • 3 weeks prior to booked and confirmed activities - 50% of full amount. • 2 weeks prior to booked and confirmed activities - 75% of full amount. • 1 week or less prior to booked and confirmed activities - 100% of full amount In the case of a cancellation where a 3rd party, Lodge, Destination or Operator is involved, such as accommodation, flights, transfer shuttles or coaches, the prevailing Lodge, destination or Operators cancellation policy will apply and will be facilitated by African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd. Please note that this may take several weeks. CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS PLEASE REFER TO children’s costing per tour and whether they are under the allowed age. Please note that parents must be able to have documentation available if age of child is in question. GUEST TRANSPORT Pick-up and drop-off transport is a complimentary service for guests staying in Port Elizabeth areas of Summerstrand, Humewood, Central, Richmond Hill, Mill Park, Bluewater Bay and Colchester (Addo Elephant National Park South Gate area). This service is free and is not included in the safari individual price. Guests staying out of the areas are welcome to meet us at our starting point at 11, 6th Avenue, Summerstrand, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), 6001 at 7:15am. Alternatively meet us at Addo Elephant National Park South Gate Matyholweni Reception car park at 8:15am. Alternatively pick-up and drop-off outside African Sightings Adventure areas can be pre-arranged at an extra fee. SAFARI TRANSPORT A ten seater Open Safari Vehicle (OSV) is available for in-house guests staying at African Sightings Guest House. It is a South African National Parks regulation, particularly for Addo Elephant National Park that Guests can only do a guided OSV safari on the condition that the safari operator owns such a vehicle for in-house guests only. A closed hardtop vehicle with big windows that can open is used for guests that are staying at other accommodation establishment. OPERATING HOURS AND SEASONS African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd operates throughout the year and on public holidays, with exception to Christmas Day (25th Dec) and New Year’s Day (1st Jan). We are available to answer calls from 7:30 am in the morning until 10pm at night in high season. STAFF GRATUITY Gratitude, appreciation and recognition are always warmly received by our staff. Tipping is not compulsory, but if you feel that your Guide/Ranger did a good job, and if you are satisfied with the service you received from them, we ask that you please bring along some Cash rather as we don't allow guide tips onto our credit card machines. AFRICAN SIGHTINGS ADVENTURE INSURANCE COVERAGE African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd business including its accommodation division Trading as African Sightings Guest House and vehicle resources is comprehensively insured by Auto & General Insurance. African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd Accommodation division Trading as African Adventure Guesthouse is insured under Broadform Liability Insurance Cover by Auto & General. African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd Safaris division Trading as African Sightings Adventure is insured by an Auto & General Business Vehicles Insurance Policy. GUEST TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ACCEPTANCE On acceptance and payment of your Day Safari you willingly acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions: “I, the undersigned guest hereby: 1). Waive and abandon for myself and on behalf of my spouse, companion, children (whether minor or major), dependents or relatives and/or persons accompanying me all claims of whatever nature, and however arising against African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd, and any of its employees, servants, shareholders or any other person connected (whether directly or indirectly) with the operation of African Sightings Adventure. 2). Acknowledge that the waiver and abandonment relates to any claim arising from harm, injury, death, and /or loss of property suffered while participating in any activity conducted by African Sightings Adventure and weather arising from any act (negligent or otherwise), commission or omission on the part of those indemnified. 3). Acknowledge that, arising from the presence of wild and dangerous animals, reptiles, birds, and insects present on and associated with the Addo Elephant National Park, or any other activity area there is a real risk of danger and suffering bodily harm, injury, death and /or loss of property. Such risk may arise as a result of an encounter with or in the presence of such animals whilst participating in an African Sightings Adventure activity. 4). Warranty that I am authorized to give this waiver and indemnity. 5). Acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver and indemnity and fully understand the meaning and effect thereof, and that I am bound thereby without limitations in time, extent of damages or cause of action.” PROVISIONAL BOOKINGS Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 5 days after which there will be an automatic release of the space. AFRICAN SIGHTINGS ADVENTURE (PTY) LTD RESERVED RIGHTS In the event that African Sightings Adventure, at any time, receives another firm enquiry, accompanied by the payment of a minimum 15% deposit, seeking available day safaris being held provisionally for an unconfirmed Guest, then African Sightings Adventure reserves the right to cancel and notify the unconfirmed Guest booking. REFUNDS In the event of an agreed refund, the final refund payment will exclude any bank charges and currency fluctuations incurred from when payment was received by African Sightings Adventure (Pty) Ltd. Any credit card merchant charges which will be covered by client and NOT by African Sightings Adventure. TRAVEL CANCELLATION INSURANCE It is the guests responsibility to ensure that they have taken out adequate travel insurance to cover the financial implications of a cancellation or any losses incurred. The Guest will bear the sole and absolute responsibility of the implications. 

All Game drives are carried out by a knowledgeable FGASA & Basic First Aid qualified guide registered with the Department of Tourism and South African National Parks.
