One of the table mountain classics, this popular route weaves in and around India ravine and venster buttress, with the cables of the cablecar almost always present above. The route allows for spectacular views of each side of the mountain with sections that will get your blood pumping. Let us guide you safely through the scrambles and show you the lifestyle of a Capetonian on the mountain. Quick route description India venster is classified as a (b grade) scramble, nothing too hard for anyone to handle with a good head for heights. starting at the lower cable station we'll use a pathway following up under the cables to the contour path. after a short piece on the contour path, we'll head up a series of low rock steps to a platform. next, the route follows up the gully running right to venster buttress. here we have the perfect photo opportunity of the actual venster(window) looking over India ravine. shortly after the window we'll reach the easy scramble sections which our well-trained guides can coach you through if extra encouragement is needed. we will end the route by following around from fountain ledge to the back of table mountain from where we will reach the top. Well supportive closed-toe walking shoes with good grip are a must. Cape town does experience very hot days in the summer and a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water will be needed. A long sleeve button-up shirt with a collar provides great sun coverage.

CANCELLATIONS There will be no refunds in the event of a no-show by guests on the activity date. In the event of an amendment not received 3 days prior to activity booked the guest will still be responsible for the full cost for the total number of passengers originally confirmed.

In case of a weather cancellation, weather conditions are judged exclusively by the Management of Cape Mountain Guides.
In the event of a cancellation by Cape Mountain Guides Management, a refund will be given on the amount paid
INDEMNITY All participants are required to sign an indemnity form for all activities they are participating in prior to departure of the activity. If a guest refuses to sign the indemnity form, the guest will not be able to partake in the activity. The indemnity form must be signed by a Parent/Legal guardian for minors under 16 years. Any unaccompanied child 16 or under requires the indemnity to be signed by a parent/legal guardian prior to the activity.
CHILD POLICY: Children Rates apply to minors aged between 4 and 9 years who join trip as a passenger on a Scooter. For minors 10 years and older adult rates apply. Minimum age is 4 years and minimum hight is 95cm Children between 4 and 9 years are passengers with parents and Scootours Passenger Tickets prices apply. Children from the age of 10 years and up can ride their own scooter and Scootours Driver Tickets Prices apply. Adult supervision is required for kids of 12 years and younger.
GENERAL 2 guests are required to run a hike on Table Mountain. Management reserves the right to amend/cancel/add terms & conditions without notice. All terms & conditions are subject to South African Law & Jurisdiction. If Cape Mountain Guides (Pty) ltd does not have access to the venue of the booked service or voucher on the day of the tour then Cape Mountain Guides (Pty) ltd has the right to move the tour to another venue. REFUND POLICY The provision services by Cape Mountain Guides is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Cape Mountain Guides will refund the client in full within 30 days.
