Afternoon Shark Cage Diving Trip in Simon's Town
Please note: Only children 9 and older are allowed on the boat! Our trips run from Simon's Town, which is only one hour from Cape Town. For the afternoon shark cage diving, we chose to only take small groups on our boat, Blue Pointer, so you can enjoy a comfortable trip in a more personal and exclusive environment. No Scuba qualifications are necessary! The cage floats just under the surface of the water, and it is situated alongside the boat. Only 5 enter the cage at a time, all scuba equipment stays on board and only the air-hose enters the cage, allowing you to enjoy a great dive without cumbersome, heavy tanks and gear. The average dive time is 20 minutes depending on the shark activity. Once everyone has had a go, and if there is enough time, then a second dive is allowed. Our crew is highly trained and safety is of utmost importance. During our afternoon shark cage diving trip you will be able to see the Sharks from a point-blank range and the best part is that this trip revolves around shark cage diving. No diving experience is necessary. We do offer shark diving ALL year around. Shark species can include Broadnose Sevengill cow sharks, Great white sharks, and the odd Bronzie or Copper Shark. (Mako Sharks & Blue sharks on Pelagic Trips).

Things To Bring* Rain / wind jacket / warm clothing / swimming costume. * Sunblock, Hat and Polarized sunglasses if you have, if not, then just a pair of sunglasses * Camera (we rent GoPro's. Please book in advance. We also sell universale underwater mobile pouches). * Please take a seasickness tablet the night before your trip and another on the morning of your trip, if you are concerned about motion sickness.
Guests Or SpectatorsThe shark species we hope to encounter may be Great white sharks, Broadnose sevengill cow sharks, Copper sharks, Mako Sharks, and Blue sharks.

ExclusionsWe are able to cater for vegetarians. We are unable to cater for special requirements such as Kosher, vegan and Halal, etc. for these, please self cater. Transfers: Additional Cost: Return transfers from designated pick-up points in and around Cape Town. Please note that single persons are charged a flat supplement rate and not per person rate.
PLANES & TRAINS DON’T WAIT ~ NOR DO BOATS!! If you are late and miss the boat, you will be charged in full as a “no show”. Please make sure you know where we are situated.
16-30 days before start date-0% cancellation fee.
15 days before start date – 100% cancellation fee (groups more than 4).
15-8 days -75% cancellation fee.
7 days before the start date – 100% cancellation fee.
Should the trip by cancelled by ASEC, then we will refund 100% of the deposit.
Please note: Trips are subject to 6 or more people on the boat. Should we not be able to fulfill the minimum requirement we will try to move you to another trip date that suits you. * No children under 9 allowed on the boat and no children under 11 in the shark cage. The skipper will still make the final call on the boat if the child is allowed in the cage. * Must have at least a rudimentary swimming ability.
